Back-to-back initial hearings have been set for Tuesday in Kari Lake's and Mark Finchem's Election Contest lawsuits, and Abe Hamadeh's will start (out in right field) on Friday.
Most likely, these hearings will be initial hearing in which the judges and attorneys will hash out basic legal arguments and a schedule for the rest of the case.
Leading off will be Mark Finchem's case contesting his loss in the Secretary of State race; that will be before Judge Alison Bachus at 10:30 tomorrow.
Judge Peter Thompson will then hear Kari Lake's gubernatorial contest at 11:00. Although we have not yet seen the documents, Lake's attorneys - Bryan Blehm and Kurt Olsen - already are changing some of the information they presented as evidence in their Complaint. Judge Thompson today permitted them to "strike and substitute" one of their Attachments, and to supplement another. (Unfortunately, the Attachments were apparently not filed with the initial Complaint on Friday. We will update once we have received them.)
Finally, GOP candidate for Attorney General, Abe Hamadeh, filed his challenge in Mohave County Superior Court. His initial hearing is set for Friday at 8:30.
